The Rider Registration Package for 2020 includes all meals and accommodation costs for Friday and Saturday night, ticket to the Finishers Function on Saturday night and a Rider jersey. Price includes GST.

FUNDRAISING 2020

The minimum fundraising requirement per rider will be $1,000. In 2020 Sydney2CAMberra will be distributing the funds you raise in a different way. Whereas in the past we have provided 100% of the funds raised by riders plus additional funding from S2C events in a 50/50 allocation to Red Nose and The Stillbirth Foundation, this year we will allocate the funds raised to direct impact initiatives led by these or other organisations that are aligned to our mission of supporting those touched by stillbirth, infant and child loss.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is required to be a rider ?

The ride is a 2 day event and approx. 300km, 180km on day one and 120km on day two. Riders of all abilities are welcome, as we cater to all levels, but we do require that you have a road bike or triathlon bike (no mountain bikes are allowed) and you must also attend at least one training ride so we can gauge your level of fitness and riding ability to ensure you are placed in the most relevant pack throughout the event.

What is not included in the Rider Package for 2020 ?

Riders are required to apply for Insurance from Cycling Australia within 3 months of the ride. CA Insurance costs $33. All riders will receive a reminder 3 months before the ride

Can I just ride one day of the event ?

As this ride is restricted to a certain amount of riders, we only sell the full package option, so we do recommend you attend the full event. Should you only be able to attend one day this can generally be accommodated, but we still have the same fundraising requirements as we do with all riders, which is a minimum of $1,000.

What if I need to withdraw from the event?

If you need to withdraw from the event, we require a minimum of two months notice from the start of the event, so we can try to accommodate other riders. You may be refunded the money paid to date less any costs incurred to date.

Can I bring my family ?

We absolutely recommend bringing your family along for this event, it’s not only a great ride, but a great family event with plenty of stops along the way and a great way to experience the S2C event with your loved ones. You will need to purchase additional accommodation and function tickets as well as notify us of who you are brining with you when checking out.

What support is provided for rider safety ?

As a matter of safety, we provide two vehicles per cycling pack (front and rear) with flashing lights and signs, along with a minimum of two bike captains per pack who have radio communications with the drivers and medical crew who support the ride. We also provide a mobile bike mechanic for the duration of the event.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS

Riders are welcome to add additional items to the base package including a jersey tribute, riding gear and additional accomodation options for family or friends joining the event. For specific accommodation requirements involving multiple rooms and children, please contact us to make arrangements.
