Riding for Lukas – Nik Biskaps
Story
I will once again be riding in the Sydney2CAMberra in memory of our son Lukas who was stillborn in 2009. This will be my 9th year doing this awesome ride which assists these exceptional charities and the work they do.
This year I will again have some amazing family and friends riding with me, showing their support for Nicole, Myself and the other riders that have been touched by SIDS and Stillbirth.
The friendships and support that Nicole and I have found through the Sydney2Camberra bike ride over the 9 years is greatly appreciated and we always look forward to making our annual pilgrimage south.
Hearing everyone’s stories over the 2 days makes you push and dig that little deeper, especially knowing all those little angels are looking over us. At times during the hillier sections of the ride (especially King of the Mountain), I’ll just be completely focused and push through the hurt and pain, knowing that it will be nothing compared to the day Lukas was born and we held him in our arms.
Not a day goes by that Nicole and I don’t think of Lukas.
So dig deep to help these great charities.
