Stuart McLean – Riding with Erin
Story
Fifteen years ago my wife an I experienced the tragic loss of our first child, our daughter Erin.
She was full term and we were ready for our lives to change. Unfortunately, it changed in way we never expected. The then undiagnosed condition of Vasa Previa took another angel.
Like all parents who have experienced this loss, Erin occupies a very special place in our heart and mind. She enters our thoughts regularly as we move through our daily lives. Some days this can result in tears which we have learnt is ok. Riding 300+kms with others who understand this is a powerful experience and good for the healing process.
I hope that by riding with Erin, we can raise awareness and funds to prevent families from experiencing this tragic loss.
